Top Ten Tall

Here at Longshot Apparel, we keep our eyes on who’s on top in the news and look up to the tall. This week we have ten tall features that made the cut:

.)    Tall Author Erik Larson from Seattle, WA makes the New York Times Best Sellers for the second time with his book : In the Garden of Beasts, a great follow up to his earlier best seller Devil in the white city.

.)    Yao Ming retires from China, leaving the team falling short for the next season.

.)   A tall order for Boeing for American Airlines from tall man Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Jim Albaugh.

.)   Lakers’ Ron Artest is trying out for stand-up comedy. I mean, Metta World Peace is trying out for stand-up comedy. This might be a longshot in the making.

.)   Tall, but feeling small, Hope Solo gave us a great shot at the Women’s World Cup championship, but the team was defeated by Japan in a dramatic shootout on Sunday.

.)   Darren Clarke wins British Open followed by 4 others also measuring above 6’1” on Sunday’s final day of the tournament.

.)   Tall brothers from Luxembourg, Andy and Frank Schleck (both sizing up to 6’1”) fall a bit behind in the Tour de France this week as the final stage is five days away.

.)   Michelle Obama will have a 5’10” strong presence in her reality TV debut on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

.)   William (6’3”) & Kate (5’10”) officially move into their palace home. Tough life for this tall couple.

.)  Double amputee Oscar Pistorius qualifies for the track & field world championships in the 400 meter dash with a personal best. Pistorius stands a little over 6’1.”
